                        Calling all western collectors, buckle up for an incredible auction packed with Silver Bits, Spurs and so much More! - Everything sells to the highest bidder! This is Earl and Rhonda's 52 years of marriage and 52 years of collecting. 52 years of kept collectible treasures including silver bits and spurs and other western collectibles that are being put up for auction. It didn't start out as a planed thing. Earl was 20 and Rhonda was 19. They were involved in the horse industry-buying and selling horses early on in life. As they went along if they came across pieces they thought were unique, they would set those aside. They continued doing that for many years. Eventually, they started holding horse auctions. Earl was an auctioneer, and Rhonda rode a lot of horses. Again, whenever something unique came along, they kept it. It wasn’t a collection—it was just cool items. Some of the silver they thought were special, they either hung them in their house, displayed them where they could see them, or tucked them away in boxes. This went on for over 50 years. Every time they attended an event, they’d find something interesting—an old, well-used piece that caught their eye. Sometimes they bought it, sometimes they traded for it. But one thing they never did was trade off the pieces they thought were cool. They always kept them. They were great at acquiring more, but terrible at letting go of anything. Over the years, it all accumulated. In 2019, Rhonda had to have surgery, and their oldest daughter, Lo came to help. While looking after her mother, she decided to start going through all those boxes—sorting and organizing bits, spurs, and tack. None of them realized just how much they had until Lorinda started going through everything. She said, “Oh my word, we need to do something with this!” Still, Earl wasn’t ready to part with any of it. For whatever reason, it didn’t make sense to keep it all, but he just wasn’t ready. Now, here it is in 2025, and Earl and Rhonda have finally decided—it’s time. The work has begun to bring it all together, to prepare it for others to see and appreciate. Maybe some of you will see the same charm in these pieces that Rhonda and Earl did. Maybe some of you will take them home and enjoy them just as they have for all these years. It’s time to let someone else enjoy these treasures as much as they have.
